About Our Caregivers

Our Guelph and surrounding area caregivers want more than a job. They want to make a difference in the lives of those in their care. As a company, our job is to give caregivers the direction and tools they need to fulfill their personal mission of service, as well as our corporate mission of improving the lives of those we serve.

Selection

To ensure that the people we employ meet our high standards, we have a rigorous selection process. Before caregivers can become employed with Right at Home and begin caring for clients, every one of them must pass:

  • Reference checks
  • Police Check VSS
  • Personal interviews
  • CPR/First Aid Training

Training and Continuing Education

Our CERT (caregiver Education Retention and Training) program provides ongoing, specialized training that ensures that our caregivers understand the high standards of care expected by Right at Home.

It is an honour every day to serve others in their homes and provide them with the type of care that they deserve. Receiving the RightCare Award was another honour. It wouldn't have been possible if not for my clients. I always think of them first. I do my job because I love to do it and not because I expect to receive any gifts or an award. To me the award is just as special as receiving a smiley face from a client, showing their appreciation.
