Client Directed Home Care (CDHCI) with Right at Home

What is Client Directed Home Care?

The Client Directed Home Care Invoicing Program is an Alberta Health Services (AHS) & Alberta Blue Cross initiative that allows eligible clients to take control of their care while receiving publicly funded home care services through a private home care provider like Right at Home. This means receiving Right at Home's award-winning exceptional care at a significantly subsidized cost.

The CDHCI program provides a set amount of funding to those who meet the eligibility criteria, which can be used towards receiving home care services from an approved organization of their choice. The good news is that Right at Home is an approved vendor for the CDHCI program, potentially making you eligible for this beneficial program.

What This Means for You

  • We can bill Alberta Health Services directly, making the process seamless for our clients.
  • You can access our Care Planner managed services without the added burden of working on hiring caregivers as employees and managing related administrative duties. Instead, our services are directly billed to AHS.
  • Receive In-Home Health Care from on of Canada's top home support organizations. Right at Home has been providing award winning customized senior care and home care for over 20 years.
  • At Right at Home YOUR Caregivers are all part of YOUR Care Team. This means that there is no revolving door of Personal Support Workers and Nurses. With the help of your Care Planner, you choose and get to know them. This leads to an level of care for your loved one that is unsurpassed in our industry.

How Do You Qualify?

To receive home care services through this program:

  • You must be an Alberta resident with a valid health care card
  • Your needs can be safely met in your home
  • you meet the requirements determined by an Alberta Health Services case manager

To begin the process you must first call 811 to request an assessment. An Alberta Health Services Home Care Case Worker will then come out and assess the person needing care (either you or a loved one).
