Right at Home Canada Earns CARF International Accreditation
Network-wide Three-Year Accreditation reflects the commitment to the thousands of families we support and the thousands of Care Team members we employ across every Right at Home Care Office in Canada
We are incredibly proud to share that Right at Home Canada has been awarded a Three-Year Accreditation by CARF International, the highest level of accreditation that CARF can grant.
The accreditation CARF International has awarded to Right at Home Canada recognizes the exceptional quality of care delivered across our network of Care Offices from coast to coast.
What this means for Canadian families
In Canada, Home Care accreditation is voluntary. Many agencies operate without any external review of how they hire, train, plan care, deliver care, or handle risk. CARF accreditation is the opposite of that; it requires an international body of experts to examine every part of how we operate and judge whether we meet the rigorous CARF Accreditation standards that are recognized around the world.
For the thousands of families who entrust Right at Home Canada with the care of someone they love, this accreditation is independent confirmation that the systems behind that care have been examined and meet internationally recognized standards. In practical terms, that means:
- The way we screen, train, and support our Caregivers follows international best practices.
- Care Plans are built around the needs, preferences, and goals of the person receiving care and their families.
- Our policies on health, safety, privacy, and risk management have been reviewed by external surveyors.
- We are accountable for continuous improvement, not just our own internal standards.
A message from our Chief Operating Officer
"This accreditation recognition belongs to every Care Office Owner, every office team, and every Caregiver across our network," said Dani Depetrillo, Chief Operating Officer of Right at Home Canada. "CARF's accreditation expectations are very stringent. They examine the inner workings of how you do everything; how you actually operate, how you train your people, how you build a person-centred Care Plan, how you treat your clients, how you respond when things get complicated. Earning this seal of approval on our first review is a testament to what our system has been building toward for years. I am so proud of this team, so grateful to the families who trust us every day with the people they love, and so thankful for the wonderful care staff who support clients with a servant's heart."
The accreditation process
Earning CARF accreditation is not a "tick box" exercise. The process involved months of preparation across our corporate office and our Care Offices, a detailed review of our policies and procedures against hundreds of international standards, and a rigorous, 2-day survey by CARF's expert peer reviewers. CARF examines how Care Plans are developed, how feedback from clients shapes services, how teams are trained, how risk is managed, and how the organization continuously improves.
A Three-Year Accreditation is the highest term CARF awards. It signals substantial conformance to CARF's standards and a demonstrated commitment to programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
Thank you to our Right at Home Family
To our Care Office Owners, office teams, Caregivers, and corporate staff who made this possible: thank you. To the families who choose Right at Home every day: thank you for trusting us with the care of the people you love.

About Right at Home Canada
Right at Home is one of the largest providers of supportive in-home care services globally, with over 700 Care Offices across seven countries. Despite our size, our grassroots, community-focused approach ensures that every Care Office lives and works in the community it serves, treating every client as though they were part of our own family.
We offer a full continuum of care, from companionship and personal support through to 24-hour nursing care and everything in between. Our services supplement the support already provided by family members, government resources, and retirement residences. In Canada, Right at Home is accredited by CARF International, independent confirmation that the systems behind our care meet internationally recognized standards.
Our services are backed by three pillars: Outstanding Care Planners, a Commitment to Care Teams, and a dedication to delivering an exceptional experience for our clients, their families, our care staff, and our community partners.
We live by our mission to improve the quality of life of those we serve. We do this by being responsive to service requests, starting care in a timely manner, thoughtfully selecting Care Teams, collaborating on assessments, and working in tandem with government supports to develop flexible, goal-based Care Plans.
